I was born in Montclair California where I was raised until my Dad joined the Navy as a Pilot. Around 6 we moved to Corpus Christy Texas, Jacksonville Florida, Oak Harbor Washington, El Centro California and Dallas Texas. Once I graduated from high school in 2008, I joined the Army where I served 4 years at Ft Drum, NY during that I did a tour to Iraq. I’m currently a junior in Whitman studying Accounting with the graduation date projected to be May 2017. From the time spent in the army to now I have found how rewarding it is to see others grow and succeed. I’m looking to take what I’ve learned in the Army and college to a level of professionalism that will reach more people and grow the organization so that more underrepresented groups have the same opportunity that I’ve been able to thrive with. Currently, I am serving as the president of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) and the secretary of the SVO. Upon graduation, I will be working for GE in the Financial Management Program.
