Veteran’s Lounge

The Veteran’s Lounge is a multipurpose area accessible by those involved in the Student Veterans Organization at Syracuse University. The lounge is located at 700 University Ave, Syracuse, NY 13244 rm 310. The lounge has many features that give it a comfortable and cozy atmosphere for all that come. Not only is it an area for socializing, but it is also used for important meetings and discussions. The lounge is open Monday through Friday from 8am-7pm. Occasionally there will be special events that take place outside of these days/hours.

Amenities available in the Veteran’s Lounge:

                                                                                                                                  55″ Television with all Channels        

One 55 inch smart TV used for both educational and leisure purposes. During meetings we have used it to display PowerPoint presentations. For leisure we have used it to watch the Super Bowl with other members of the SVO.




Kitchen Appplicance

-Toaster Oven
-Keurig for Hot Drinks
-Mini Fridge for Personal Use

These appliances are available to anyone who wishes to use them.


HP Colored Network Printer

Free Printing for those who need to print for:

-Meeting documents

This is beneficial for those who do not want/have the money to pay for printing on campus.


Snack Shack

-Full Sized Fridge

-Snack Bar

Our full sized fridge can be used to keep your food fresh while you work on other things. Our snack bar consists of many different treats that can be accessed at any time. Unfortunately, our snack bar is not free but items are reasonably priced and can be found on the Snack Shack Inventory.




-Study Area Equipped with Five Computers

-Student Textbooks for Checkout

Here we offer a private study area furnished with chairs and laptops for those who wish to complete schoolwork or access the internet. We also have a bookcase located in this area that has previously used textbooks that members can checkout during the semester at no cost. The textbooks we have are located at  SVO Book Inventory.


Available resources including educational benefits such as Post 9/11, Montgomery, Dependence in Survivors Assistance, VocRehab, etc.
